Caithness Flint Scatter

In my early 30's I was fortunate enough to have spent a summer field walking in Caithness looking for Neolithic artefacts with Dr Amelia Pannett, who as since become a leading authority in the Neolithic period in Caithness. She taught me how to see these black, white and caramel coloured treasures against different mud types. She basically trained my eye to spot manmade objects (flints) hiding in natural forms (ploughed fields). I discovered this collection of flint scrapper tools and cores within a 20 meter radius, which might indicate the presence of a Neolithic hunting camp or possibly a Neolithic farm. Full details of this discovery have been sent to Glasgow University and an independent Project page has been set up here...
